Dwayne Johnson Injures Elbow on Set of “The Smashing Machine”

Dwayne Johnson has dropped the news that he was "smashed up" on the set of The Smashing Machine , the new film from Benny Safdie, in which Johnson stars alongside Emily Blunt, Oleksandr Usyk, Lyndsey Gavin, Ryan Bader and Zoe Kosovic.

The former WWE Champion took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his gnarly new elbow injury, which he says "looks like [he has] a cantaloupe at the bottom of [his] elbow".

"I got banged up pretty good today in our scenes," Johnson said, "there might be some soft tissue damage".

The star made light of the situation saying, "I've been banged up in the past before," and went on to detail a grocery list of previous injuries and surgeries he has had.

Johnson plays Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine , which is about the former mixed-martial arts and UFC champion.

There's no confirmed release date for the film just yet, but it's expected to hit theaters in 2025.
