"Gathering of Hope" to be held for teen who went missing last year near Devil's Lake

FREEDOM, Wis. -- A Gathering of Hope will be held Wednesday for James Yoblonski, who went missing near Devil's Lake State Park on June 12, 2023.

The event will take place at the Sauk Prairie State Recreation Area / Badger Ammunition on highway 12 near where the van was found.

According to the Facebook event , "This is a gathering of hope to bring James home to his family."

Yoblonski was last seen June 2023, leaving his family's home overnight in a family vehicle.

Searchers found multiple campsites and items like socks and a knife sheath that may belong to Yoblonski.

Local law enforcement said they found evidence in the woods in June 2023, search that led them to believe the teen may be trying to live "off the grid," as a survivalist .

Anyone with any information about Yoblonski is asked to call the Sauk County Sheriff's Department at 608-355-4495. Yoblonski's family is offering a reward of $10,000 for any information that could bring him home.
