Special 'Beach Towel Happy Meal' at Italian McDonald's Has People Obsessed

If you have ever wondered why someone would go to McDonald's when they visit a country like Italy, look no further than the Italian Happy Meal prize. It has the Internet talking because it's just so cool!

No, we're not talking about a plastic toy. These Happy Meals come with a beach towel.

Content creator @colonelsanders69 showed them buying one of these happy meals for this cool prize and TikTok was immediately obsessed.

According to Sarah, the person behind the TikTok account, the towels are full-sized beach towels and they look thick, too. These aren't cheap toys!

The towel they got was black with a McDonald's fry image on the front. It's seriously cute and colorful!

Another surprising thing? They got the Happy Meal for 8 Euros, which amounts to $8.67 in American dollars. That's a steal! You can't get a full-sized beach towel for less than $10 in most places, and a lot of areas are selling Happy Meals for $8 or more.

People were understandably shocked and jealous.

"USA McDonald's would charge $19.99 for that towel," one person said. Probably more, if we're being honest.

"This would make a $8 Happy Meal actually worth it," another said. The portion sizes are so small these days, and the toys are not great. This would definitely change things.

"All other countries get the good stuff," another person chimed in. For real! Why can't we have nice things?

This isn't the only time Italian McDonald's has offered beach towels. Videos on TikTok show that they have had these in the summer Happy Meal boxes for at least two previous years. Still, this is something to get excited about, and we think it could convince us to go to Italy (as if we needed convincing).

In the UK, you can choose between a Hello Kitty collaboration with Yu-Gi-Oh toy or a book. Yes, you can get a book in your Happy Meal! And these Happy Meals cost less than $5!

If you're in the U.S., though, you can expect new plastic 'Inside Out 2" toys in your kid's Happy Meal to celebrate the new movie. And yes, you will pay around $8-$10 per Happy Meal.
