People Are Obsessed with Woman's Highly Unconventional Patio Makeover

When you think of a patio makeover you probably think of a few things — a new rug to add a comfortable spot to rest your feet, a few lounge chairs that make relaxing a breeze, and some fairy lights that add warmth and softness. While all of these changes are an exceptional way to switch up the look of your space, they can be a little, well, basic. Walk into any home (outdoor areas included) and you're likely to find a mix of beiges, whites, and other neutral colors.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a lover of all things timeless, but it doesn't hurt to add a little fun to your home's outdoor oasis. Content creator @ morganpresleyxo did just that when she took her plain outdoor patio and turned it into a sight to behold.

If you've stumbled upon any of Morgan's other videos you know her style is a little unconventional, in the best way possible. Prior videos on her page show off her style perfectly from the gallery wall that spans the length of her home's entryway to the pink floral peel-and-stick contact paper she added to her refrigerator and dishwasher. She gives maximalist an entirely new meaning!

    Patio Makeover

In her recent patio reno she begins by painting the dirty yellow exterior walls a bright white. She then cleans the dust off the patio floor and adds RUNNEN Decking Floor Tiles from IKEA to give the space a refreshed feel. In one corner she places a round white rug on the floor before adding a vintage-looking white bistro table set, which she later paints bright pink. She also places a mirror on one of the walls proving you can use unconventional items to decorate your outdoor space.

    Greenery Is a Must

Next to it, she adds a plant stand and a few plants to give the space some life. She then adds a large wooden vegetable garden that has adorable vegetables painted on the side. A side note - you can have fresh veggies and herbs, even if you don't have a big backyard.

    Cat Sandbox

Our favorite part of this patio renovation is the sandbox Morgan added for her cat, Steve. Did you know that cats actually love the soft texture of sand? Me neither, and I'm a cat owner! In the video, she adds a tiny layer of sand and also states she plans to add some fake grass for him to lounge in. We can't deal with the cuteness!

While Morgan says she's not quite done with her patio makeover just yet, we think it looks great so far! With some more seating, a few lights, and some faux grass for Steve, we think she'll have the ultimate outdoor sanctuary in no time.
