    Celebrate corn, soul food, crabs, sunflowers, and Juneteenth this weekend.

    It is mid-June already, and as the days get a little longer, there are more daylight hours to enjoy festivals.

    Here's what's happening this weekend.

    Louisiana Corn Festival - Bunkie - June 13, 14 & 15

    208 Pershing Avenue

    There will be corn eating, corn shucking, and corn cooking contests, pirogue races, a softball tournament, food vendors, arts & crafts, carnival rides, and live music at the 36th Annual Louisiana Corn Festival.

    Music will be provided by:

    • Wicked Waters
    • Chee Weez
    • Life Without Parole
    • Whiskey Chitto Ramblers
    • Dustin Sonnier

    Admission is free for everyone on Thursday, $5 for those over 12 on Thursday and Friday, and $1 for those younger than 12 on Thursday and Friday.

    Soul Food Festival - Franklin - June 14 & 15

    703 Teche Drive

    Located in Parc SurLa Tech, the Soul Food Festival in Downtown Franklin features amazing Southern cuisine, live music, a vendor's village, and a soul food cooking contest.

    Holly Beach Crab Festival - Cameron - June 14, 15, 16

    2412 Heron Street

    A crab cookoff, crab bingo, food, music, games, vendors, bouncy slides, sand castle building lessons and a contest, axe throwing, a dunking booth, sno cones, DJ Troy, a dance contest, and a free pancake breakfast highlight the annual Crab Festival of Holly Beach.

    Live entertainment provided by:

    • Lukas Moe & Cajun Beat

    Admission is free.

    Sunflower Festival & Trail - Gilliam - June 15

    12797 Main Street

    Located along Highway 3049 north of Shreveport, the Sunflower Festival offers a breathtaking view of sunflowers and lots of sunflower-themed activity. There will be crafts and arts sales by local artists, craft activities for children, music by local groups, delicious food for sale, a photography contest, and an art contest. Don't miss the scenic trail route of blooming sunflowers.

    Juneteenth Music Festival - Donaldsonville - June 15

    300 Railroad Avenue

    Louisiana Square in Donaldson is the setting for the city's 29th Annual Juneteenth Celebration. Guests can learn the Juneteenth history, enjoy delicious local cuisine, shop, visit a health fair focuse on African health, get vaccinated, sign up for Red Cross smoke detector installation, and listen to live music.

    Musical guests include:

    • Red Tape Musiq
    • Total Control Band
    • Michael Foster Project
    • Royal Essence

    Hours are 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
