When it comes to vacationing, it turns out that the royals aren't so dissimilar to us. Exhibit A – their choice of vacation home that just so happens to be listed on Airbnb.

Named Duffryn Mawr , this beautifully renovated large country house situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, is impressive enough to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales' requirements. However, a look around the property makes it easy to see why it made the cut when they reportedly visited last spring.

Hidden amid the southern Welsh mountain range, the brick cottage features views of The Sugarloaf and The Blorenge peaks. While its exteriors are naturally impressive, we can't stop staring at its modern country decor , which is fit for royalty.

Complete with seven bedrooms (yes, meaning it comfortably sleeps 16 guests), a 40-foot chef's kitchen, and a spacious living room, the home offers everything we could need for a group trip away. However, essential living spaces aside, there is also a 'billiard room,' bar, yoga area, and home spa with a steam room and hot tub .

Amenities aside, we inevitably need to take a moment for the home's contemporary country-style interiors – starting with the aformentioned kitchen. In this space, quaint wooden ceiling beams meet modern marble countertops and classic white-painted cabinets to ensure a timeless aesthetic.

Beyond the kitchen, the living areas and bedrooms uphold the modern country aesthetic – without sacrificing the luxury design features we would expect to see in a royal-approved space. The bedroom showcases metallic-hued wallpaper behind a gold chest of drawers that wouldn't look out of place in any royal residence .

Outside, 17 acres of mainly farmland surround the property, and there is room to lounge in the formal garden to rear. The yard features a fire pit, BBQ, and a designated area to dine al-fresco (if the Welsh weather allows).

At approximately $1,213 per night, a vacation in this Airbnb doesn't come cheap. However, as mentioned, it does sleep up to 16 people, so the cost can be split in many ways if we so wish.

Beyond the property (if we find the incentive to leave, though we imagine it will be a struggle), the quaint market village of Crickhowell is only a short walk away. Crickhowell offers a village pub, independent shops, and a Norman-built motte and bailey castle, the remains of which still exist today.
