Democrats want black people to think the country is rigged against them

Democratic politicians want black people to think society is rigged against them so they must be dependent on the Democratic Party’s political success. Polling shows how that is playing out and what the party's formula is for making that happen.

Pew detailed how “most black Americans believe racial conspiracy theories about U.S. institutions” in a report released Monday. (By Wednesday, it had already apologized for that phrasing because, well, whatever.) There are several interesting nuggets in the results, but one that catches the eye is that the share is gradually decreasing among each age demographic of black people who say they have experienced discrimination and had to work harder to get to where they are.

This stands to reason. Each generation moves further away from the more widespread racism of the past. The 60 and older age demographic was born before the Civil Rights Act was passed, and the country has undeniably become less racist as time has gone on. If this trend continues, then Democratic fearmongering on race (including such things as lying about police shootings) becomes less and less effective.

Black adults who are Democrats or lean Democrat are about 20 points more likely to answer that they had to work harder to get where they are than people of other races and that the justice system, policing, the economy, or politics are inherently racist than black adults who are or lean Republican. In other words, if that messaging that the entire system is out to get them does not land with black voters, it is more likely that they will support Republican candidates than Democrats.

This is why Democratic politicians all the way up to President Joe Biden are constantly trying to tell black adults that their country does not love them and that they have to be “10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot.” It is why Democratic politicians have to lie about how voting in states such as Georgia in 2024 is even worse than Jim Crow. It is why liberal media figures save their most hateful rhetoric for black Republicans such as Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), whose very life story exposes their fabricated narratives for what they are.

As the country moves away from actual systemic racism and as younger generations of black people become less convinced of ever-present, all-surrounding societal racism, the Democratic racial fearmongering is only going to become more desperate and more destructive. It is all a cynical political game for Democratic politicians whose only “solution” is to give them more power, and it does not matter to them how many divisions they cause in the country.
