Set in the early 11th century, the period drama chronicles the “heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived, Leif Eriksson (played by Sam Corlett), his sister Freydis (Frida Gustavsson) and the Norwegian prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter),” per the official description.
Season 3, premiering Thursday, July 11, picks up seven years after the events of the Season 2 finale. Upcoming episodes find Freydis now the undisputed leader of pagan Jomsborg, while Leif and Harald have achieved glory in Constantinople. But as the synopsis teases, “greater challenges lie ahead in order for each to reach their ultimate destiny.”
