He highlighted threats to voting rights , opportunities , and diversity , urging vigilance against attempts to rewrite history and suppress Black voices.

The spirited performance of Kirk Franklin’s “Smile” brought Vice President Harris to her feet, joining in the celebration of Juneteenth on the White House lawn.
