Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington has become the latest target of the ire of Caitlin Clark's fans after she mocked the Indiana Fever rookie during their recent showdown.

For those who missed it, Carrington went viral during the Fever-Sun game on Monday when she basically accused Clark of flopping in-game. It happened towards the end of the second quarter when the Connecticut guard was called for a foul on the Indiana sharpshooter.

Carrington was seen doing a flopping motion--as if imitating Clark--to express her disappointment over the call.

Sure enough, fans were quick to criticize Carrington for it, with others even using the moment to fuel the narrative that WNBA vets hate and are jealous of Clark.

In response to all the buzz, though, Carrington took it to social media again to address the backlash she's getting.

"Why yall so mad at me & bein mean!? I jus be hoopin & havin fun mannn ... live a littleee," Carrington wrote.

It certainly looks like DiJonai Carrington is not making a big deal of her controversial moment with Caitlin Clark. Besides, if one can complain about not getting foul calls, others can also do that when they believe a call is wrong.

At the end of the day, it's clear that Carrington was only being competitive. Perhaps she was trying to throw Clark off her game by getting under her skin, but that's part of gamesmanship.
