When speaking to ABC's On The Red Carpet , Frank teased that the character in question is a male.

He said: "A former cast member is coming back. And I think that the audience will go crazy for HIM."

Fans were happy with the return of Jason Morgan (played by Steve Burton) in March. The fan favorite actor left in 2021 due to Disney’s coronavirus vaccine mandate. The mandate required actors to be vaccinated in the U.S. Anyone who didn’t comply with the vaccination rules were let go by the company which included Steve, himself and Ingo Rademacher (Jasper "Jax" Jacks).

During the Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet, Steve said that things with the FBI are coming to an end for his character Jason but he hopes for a reconciliation between Jason and Sonny Corinthos.

Steve said: "I want to go back to work for him. I'm tired of pushing coffee. I'm done with the coffee business!"

Evan Hofer plays Dex Heller on the show and joked that he believes that the worst of his character's drama is behind him. Dex got beaten up by Sonny at a wedding. Evan plus Eden McCoy, who plays Joss; Tabyana Ali, who plays Trina and newcomer Giovanni Mazza, who plays Gio, have been filming together. When asked if the new group of friends "will battle for the new guy in town," Tabyana said: "Everything's a little up in the air at the moment but I know that the buzz is that it's good stuff coming."

Eden added: "Well I mean, you know, they bring someone and it's like (a) trial-and-error run with every single person in the age group to try and figure out who's gonna be with who."
