    6 injured, 3 airlifted after Tunica County crash

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. —Six people were injured in a crash in Tunica County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.

    Around 2:41 p.m., the sheriff’s office along with Tunica County Fire responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 61 northbound.

    Upon arrival, responders saw an overturned mid-sized SUV and multiple people who were injured.

    Reports say three people were airlifted and three others were transported by ambulance to hospitals in Memphis.

    The conditions of the six victims is unknown at this time, but the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office says that there have been no reported deaths.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
