Demetrious Johnson has defended the UFC flyweight championship 11 times. That's more title defenses than Anderson Silva and Georges St. Pierre but it's a shame that "Mighty Mouse" rarely gets the recognition - at least from Dana White.

The UFC flyweight division has lacked stability and star power since its inception. Johnson won the belt against Joseph Benavidez in 2012 and remained champ until Henry Cejudo beat him via split decision in 2017.

During his legendary run, Johnson cleared out the flyweight division in dominant fashion. Regardless, he had a rocky relationship with Dana White who ended up trading him with Ben Askren from ONE Championship, as soon as he lost the belt.

Recently, the current ONE flyweight MMA champion looked back at a hilarious discussion between him and White, while they were hanging out with Snoop Dogg.

Demetrious Johnson Recalls Dana White's Dubious Explanation For Calling McGregor Pound-For-Pound #1

Johnson recently shot a podcast with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, uploaded on the former's YouTube channel. While choosing the current best P4P fighter between Islam Makhachev and Jon Jones, DJ remembered when White gave McGregor this title right after a loss.

"Mighty Mouse" and his wife, alongside Tyron Woodley and his wife, were hanging out with Snoop Dogg - with White being present too. This was when the UFC wanted Johnson to fight T.J. Dillashaw but the flyweight champ was reluctant to take on the challenge without a bump in pay.

As per Johnson, White claimed that McGregor was the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Even though the Irishman had just lost at the time, the UFC President appreciated his willingness to fight anyone, anytime, and anywhere.

"He goes, you know who the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world is Demetrious. I was like, I said, who? He goes, Conor McGregor. I was like, he just f*****g lost. What are you talking about?"

Johnson quickly realized this could be an attempt to get under his skin and make him accept the Dillashaw fight. So, he jokingly asked White whether he's been smoking with Snoop Dogg.

"I said, Dana, I was like he just lost. He goes, doesn't matter. He'll fight anybody, anytime, anywhere. And I was like Dana you f*****g high as f**k right now. You smoking that stuff with Snoop Dogg?

Even though Johnson disagreed with White at the time, he did admit that the UFC President generally keeps it real.
