    By Wright County,

    2024-06-13

The Highway 25 Area Transportation Study, which is being conducted jointly between Wright and Sherburne counties, has finalized the study’s Purpose and Need Statement.

This work, known as a Planning and Environmental Linkage (PEL) Study, is examining a range of cost-effective transportation alternatives to address capacity, access, mobility, and safety issues in the Highway 25 area between Interstate 94 and Highway 10.

Wright and Sherburne counties and the study team want to thank those who gave their feedback during the open comment period.

Now that the statement is finalized, the study team is working hard to design alternative concepts with the statement in mind.

Once the range of alternatives has been created, they will be presented to the community for feedback.

Public involvement will continue to be crucial throughout this PEL study.

The web-based mapping tool will remain on the project website to allow community feedback to continue.

Another Public Open House is anticipated to be held this summer. To stay up to date on the study and future involvement opportunities, sign up for updates on the project website at https://arcg.is/1qaWPz0.
