Gypsy Rose Blanchard opens up on prison experimentation with other women

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has given some insight into her struggle with comprehending her sexuality after some experimentation while incarcerated. Blanchard, the star of Gypsy Rose : Life After Lock Up who was just recently released from prison, confessed that she spent a good chunk of her teenage years contemplating if she had an attraction to females. She opened up to viewers about her deep emotional ride surrounding her sexual identity.

The now 32-year-old had been subjected to relentless abuse by her mother, Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard. Her mother fooled Gypsy into thinking that she had several serious illnesses including Muscular Dystrophy and Leukaemia.

Subsequently, Dee Dee was found to have Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy, a rare mental disorder where the caregiver, typically the mother, makes up or causes symptoms of illness in their child.

With the perceived 'help' of her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, Gypsy plotted to 'break free' from the many years of abuse at the hands of her mother. Godejohn cruelly murdered Dee Dee while she slept by stabbing her 17 times and is currently serving a lifetime in prison, with absolutely no chance of parole, for his evil act.

After being released from prison last year, Gypsy revealed some details about her time behind bars on the documentary: "For a long time, I actually kind of questioned my own sexuality because as a teenager or preteen, I felt that I was attracted to girls and I got to experiment with that in prison. I think I've kissed more girls than I have guys."

She also gave us a glimpse of some intimate clothing items, a gift from her now-estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, early in their relationship with an anticipation their bond would hold strong post-sentence. One was a provocatively open bra design, covered at the front with a bow-like fabric detail.

Another piece, intended for their first close encounter, she explained, was a long black slip dress. Taking a brave step forward, she confessed that the lingerie didn't get its first outing as things moved more quickly than expected, confessing: "I'm self-conscious because I have scars all over my body and I had a lot of surgeries that were unnecessary and so I'm like, 'Am I going to be what he wants me to be? ' 'Am I attractive to him?"

Gypsy also expressed that accepting her sexuality remained a challenge "for years." Adding further, she laid bare: "Even to the point that I'm like, 'Don't even look at me down there, don't because 'and he's like, 'It's okay."
