    Women in Black is a world-wide network of women committed to peace with justice and actively opposed to injustice, war, militarism and other forms of violence. Its activism started in the late 50’s, and 60’s witnessing the atrocities of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. Most every Friday, you’ll see (from left) Anne Bricker, Barbara Fancher, Vee Holt and Vida Morley at Cross Street silently protesting, although they’re willing to talk and answer questions. “The silent part is the idea that words cannot express the horrors of war and injustice,” says Anne Bricker.
