While no two pregnancies are exactly alike, there are some symptoms that most moms-to-be experience. Not everybody gets morning sickness, for example, but plenty of people do...and for every expecting mother who doesn't have any unusual cravings there's another who can't stop dipping jalapeño potato chips into ice cream.

Model and Rhode founder Hailey Bieber is sharing her struggle with one super common pregnancy symptom, and countless moms know exactly what she's talking about. In a recent Instagram story, Bieber posted a selfie to her Instagram stories with the following words written across the image: "So who was gonna tell me about the lower back pain?"

Ouch! Pregnancy back pain is no joke . As People reported, Hailey and husband Justin Bieber announced her pregnancy in a joint Instagram post on May 9.

"The couple posted a video of their vow renewal with the announcement, showing Hailey wearing a dreamy Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello white lace dress and lace headpiece that doubled as a veil. Since then, the Biebers have been sharing several images as their excitement grows ahead of the little one's arrival. On Friday, June 7, Hailey posted a mirror selfie on her Instagram Stories, giving fans another glimpse of her growing bump in a slightly cropped, striped shirt."

Bieber is reportedly between six and seven months pregnant, which is often when back pain starts to really kick in for pregnant women, experts say.

What Causes Lower Back Pain During Pregnancy?

According to WebMD, "most pregnant women experience back pain , usually starting in the second half of pregnancy."

There are a variety of reasons why this happens. For one thing, the weight of the growing baby and uterus put pressure on the blood vessels and nerves in the back and pelvis. Plus, pregnancy shifts your center of gravity, which can cause you to adjust your posture, resulting in back strain. Hormones can also contribute to back pain.

"During pregnancy, your body makes a hormone called relaxin that allows ligaments in the pelvic area to relax and the joints to become looser in preparation for the birth process. The same hormone can cause ligaments that support the spine to loosen, leading to instability and pain."

If your back is bothering you during pregnancy, there are some things you can do — regular exercise and stretching , for example, can help to strengthen muscles and boosts flexibility, which will ease the stress on your spine. Usually, back pain isn't a sign that anything is technically "wrong," but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with!
