The drama was shared on Reddit as the shopper updated fellow members about the dispute.

In a thread on the r/Costco subreddit, they said the conflict began with one online purchase worth $530.

They said that four charges, totaling $1590, appeared shortly thereafter.

    DISPUTED CHARGE

Some Redditors in the thread pointed out that pending charges appear sometimes after making an order, before eventually going away.

However, the four charges, including two that were $530 and two that were half of that — $265.

“I love Costco and I am shocked that this is possible,” the member said.

The member then claimed that the bank confirmed the charges were not pending — they had gone through.

“Now I owe the bank $1590… even though my purchase was only $530,” they said in the initial post.

    Further updates clarified the issue.

The member said that Costco and TD Bank both pointed fingers at each other for the charges.

Eventually, the member disputed the charges.

After weeks, they confirmed that the two $530 charges disappeared.

However, they apparently had not paid the other two charges, totaling the $530 they owed the store.

They claimed Costco sent a letter barring them from online shopping.

They then paid the charges to avoid further escalation.

“I am done with this harassment,” they said.

The U.S. Sun reached out to Costco for comment.

    MORE COSTCO QUALMS

Some Costco members are slamming plans by the company to stop selling books year-round.

Book sales will resume around the holiday season.

The change has sparked some sales , however.

Some members are questioning the apparent disappearance of a classic condiment from Costco.

Some have criticized “tacky” members for returning beach items .
