ELKHART — Crossroads United Way Serving Elkhart, LaGrange and Noble Counties has announced the allocation of $618,750 in grant funding for the grant cycle spanning from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. These grant recipients include a diverse array of organizations dedicated to programming which meets the mission of Crossroads United Way in fighting for the health, education, and economic mobility of every member in our communities.

United Way’s highly competitive grant process is designed to award funds to programs demonstrating community need, articulating program efficacy, delivering measurable outcomes and effective services. Three tiers of volunteer-driven reviews are conducted on each grant application. Upon recommendation of the volunteer-led Strategic Investment Committee, United Way’s Board of Directors ultimately approves the budget to local health and human service programs administered by nonprofit agencies. No single volunteer or staff person at United Way makes these investment decisions.
