    Henderson county students graduate from police camp

    HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) — 14 fifth-graders from Henderson County schools have officially graduated from police camp. one boy and one girl were chosen from each elementary school to take part in the camp.

    Henderson police say the students learned about traffic stops,were introduced to a K9 officer and even got to walk through a crime scene scenario.

    Thursday, the students were part of a mock theft and had to testify in court.

    Each camper walked away with a certificate.

    Officials say the goal of the camp is to promote teamwork and educate the students on law enforcement.

    The camp is held at Brain Injury Adventure Camp in Robards, Ky.

    The students also took part in summer activities like rock climbing, ziplining and working through an obstacle course.
