Fox News host Jeanine Pirro accurately described a viral video of President Joe Biden approaching an Italian skydiver during a G7 photo op. The video later went viral and caused a war of words between the White House and “Murdoch Media.”

A pool feed video captured Biden intentionally wandering away from the group of G7 leaders to address a parachutist gathering his chute and giving the man a thumbs-up. The New York Post edited this clip in a vertical format, omitting the skydiver from the shot and earning a community note from X/Twitter about its misleading nature.

The New York Post cover headline mockingly reads “Meander in Chief,” promoted at the opening of Fox & Friends, and a marginally self-aware segment that Lawrence Jones admitted was part of their Biden coverage that many feel is “unfair.”

When the video first emerged Thursday and promoted on RNC Research account, it was clear to anyone that this would likely be a thing in opinion media in the next 24 hours — which has turned out to be accurate.

But when Pirro introduced the clip on Thursday’s episode of The Five, she didn’t simply say that Biden was lost or aimlessly wandering away from the group of leaders. She accurately reported the events as we know them.

“We have Joe Biden over there. He’s looking at someone, you know, who is skydiving and giving him a thumbs up where the president of the Prime Minister of Italy has to pull them back with the leaders of the G7 to remind them why they’re there,” she noted, which makes her different than the Fox & Friends hosts who portrayed the 81-year-old president in a far more unkind way.

Close observers of Mediaite’s coverage of Pirro’s commentary on RNC Research videos know that just last week, she deleted a false social media post in which she regrettably claimed Biden’s alleged reaching for a chair was not there was “embarrassing is an understatement” when it was apparently made clear to her that there WAS a chair that Biden was reaching for, and that her taking a misleading edit at face value was, in fact, embarrassing to her.

So kudos to Judge Jeanine for accurately describing the events at hand and STILL getting to a serious discussion about how age is a legitimate factor in the 2024 presidential race. Biden and Trump are both old and the nation needs to have a serious conversation about mental competence that’s not complicated, confused, or addled by misleading edits.
