Beat the heat: Community pools and splash pads

If you’re looking to make a splash this summer, there are plenty of local community pools with exciting amenities. Let’s dive in.

Reed Road Water Park, 2000 Hastings Ln.

Keep the kids entertained with multiple slides, swimming lanes, diving boards, and a toddler-safe swimming area. The water is heated, but if you’d rather relax poolside, there are lounge chairs and large umbrellas surrounding the pool. Daily admission is $10-$14, but only $5-$7 if you enter after 7 p.m. for a night swim.

Pro tips: The waterpark doesn’t accept cash + children younger than two years old get in for free.

Dublin Community Pool North and South, Multiple locations

Enjoy water slides with inner tubes, splash fountains, and swimming areas for all ages. Community events are available throughout the pool season such as the highly anticipated Pooch Pond on Thursday, Aug. 15. Dogs under 50 lbs can swim with free rein of the swimming pool.

Season passes are available now, and rates vary based on being a Dublin resident, your school district + how many people are in your household.

Grandview Heights Municipal Pool, 1350 Goodale Blvd.

Sunbathe or play in the heart of Grandview with lap lanes, diving boards, shallow and deep ends, and water slides. Toys are permitted in the pools as well.

Pool chairs are available on the lawn and pool deck, but guests can bring their own seating if they’d like.

Pro tip: Children under three years old get in for free.
