Word on the royal street is Prince William , 41, took a secret meeting with the British Secret Intelligence Service (aka MI6) just two days before the annual Trooping the Colour parade kicks off.

According to Hello! Magazine , it was documented in the Court Circular (which is responsible for keeping the official records of royal engagements/public appearances from the British royal family ) that the Prince of Wales visited the Secret Intelligence Service headquarters on June 13.

No information has been revealed about this previously unannounced meeting from Kensington Palace. But this is not the first time the prince has paid a visit to MI6. Per Hello! , it was documented in Prince William’s diary that he conducted a similar meeting at MI6 just hours before Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

As I mentioned earlier, this secret meeting was carried out before the British royal family gathers to mark this year’s Trooping the Colour, which celebrates the birthday of the British Sovereign.

Though the annual ceremony takes place tomorrow, Buckingham Palace has not confirmed if Kate Middleton (who is undergoing medical treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer ) or her three children will participate in this year’s festivities.

But it has been confirmed that King Charles , who is receiving cancer treatment of his own, will be in attendance. In fact, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Trooping the Colour will look a bit different this year. Back in May, the palace revealed the 75-year-old monarch will break royal tradition and ride in a carriage as opposed to on horseback.

During 2023’s Trooping the Colour, His Majesty rode on horseback (aka the traditional method) alongside his oldest son, Prince William, and two siblings, Prince Edward and Princess Anne . According to People , King Charles was the first monarch to ride on horseback since his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II , who switched from riding on horseback to taking a carriage during the Trooping the Colour ceremony in 1986.
