HEISKELL, Tenn. (WATE) — Upcoming repaving work at Chestnut Ridge Landfill in Anderson County will impact the traffic flow in the area.

Starting on Monday, June 17, contractors will begin repaving the entrance roads and parking area of the landfill. Waste Management, Inc. informed Anderson County that this project is expected to last two months.

During the repaving, access to the landfill will be redirected, requiring users to loop around and exit at the bottom of Fleenor Mill Road. It is important to note that the loop road is composed of gravel and dirt and has some steep sections.

Residents are urged to use another one of Anderson County’s six convenience centers for household trash and waste. However, construction materials, wood, brush, and yard waste, must still be taken to Chestnut Ridge Landfill. For more information, visit www.litterfreeintennessee.org .
