Love At Its Purest: “My Son Helping His Great Grandpa Fight Parkinson’s Disease”

One grandpa with Parkinson’s disease is finding out just how far his family is willing to go in order to help him. That goes for even the youngest members! Proud mom Taryn Watson shared the most beautiful video of her two-year-old son, TJ, caring for his great-grandfather. This little boy is always going out of his way to brighten the elderly man’s day!

Taryn captured some beautiful moments on camera of her son hanging out with her grandpa, who has Parkinson’s disease. In the clips, TJ gives his great-grandpa the warmest hugs and offers him a hand getting around. He also helps him navigate the front door to go outside. Even though the little boy probably doesn’t know exactly what’s going on with the elderly man’s health, he’s eager to assist any way he can.

“My son helping his great grandpa fight Parkinson’s disease,” Mom wrote in her caption. “My TJ has always taken a liking to his great papa. He’s only 2 yet has such a nurturing spirit. Kids just know when someone is battling with an illness and needs extra love! My papa always says TJ helps him fight.”

She added, “Watching our loved ones decline is extremely difficult however, witnessing our young ones give them life again is so beautiful.”

According to Good Morning America , great-grandpa Philip Thompson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013. Although this hasn’t been easy for the elderly man, his family has rallied around him in the most heartwarming way.

“My grandpa has been that person that we all have been able to come together and be there for, and then it kind of just makes us closer as well,” said Taryn.

It’s so beautiful to see this elderly man surrounded by loved ones . Great-grandpa is lucky to have TJ looking out for him!
