    2024-06-14

From sandy beaches to charming towns and cities, there are some truly beautiful places to be found in New Jersey. However, we're not talking about those places in this article, unfortunately.

Instead, we're taking a look at something entirely opposite–the ugliest cities in the state.

An article published by Have Clothes, Will Travel has compiled a list from a survey of travelers and two NJ cities made it.

Out of 14 cities listed, Atlantic City came in at number 3. The article goes on to mention that AC has faced various challenges over the last several decades including economic struggles and issues related to crime and poverty. There's no denying the city could use a major facelift.

Further down the list at number 5 was the city of Newark. Voters described their reasoning for including it on this list: "While watching the film “World War Z,” seeing Newark portrayed as being on fire and in chaos, felt as if it was an accurate representation of the city in real life too."

This wouldn’t be true about these cities if wp lived there. The government would not allow the decay and poverty to happen. The citizens of these cities are to blame as well for their lack of obtaining higher education levels to compete for satisfactory employment.
