Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may share a lot of the same values, but they are reportedly not currently seeing eye to eye when it comes to decisions about their future.

According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on very different pages right now, with royal author Tom Quinn claiming that Prince Harry, 39, misses his friends, family, and old life in the U.K. and is “brooding over the past,” while and Meghan, 42, is more focused on their personal and professional lives in the U.S.

Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Predominantly In Charge Of Their Professional Decisions

Quinn told The Mirror that the former Suits actress is mainly in charge of their professional ventures in the U.S., which includes some solo projects and potentially making her long-awaited Hollywood comeback, while Prince Harry "has a little to do beyond brooding over the past."

"Meghan appears to have moved on to some extent, but then she was only part of the royal family for a relatively short time," the Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family author continued, adding: "She has more to focus on in the States than her husband has."

This seems to echo some of this month's other reports about Prince Harry desperately hunting for a permanent residence in the U.K., so he can visit more often and start hanging out with his old friends who perhaps don't want to visit him in Montecito, California.

Prince Harry Reportedly Is Having A Harder Time Letting Go Of The Past

Relationship expert Louella Alderson also had opinions on Quinn's statement about the married couple's different priorities, and told The Mirror that it's understandable why Prince Harry, who was born into the royal family, is having a harder time letting go of the past.

"This statement does suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be focused on different priorities and may not be aligned in their goals and aspirations at the moment," she said. "It's possible that these differences could create tension or challenges in their marriage, especially if they continue to spend significant amounts of time apart due to their individual commitments."

"Given Harry was born into the royal family in Britain, it's understandable that he would have a strong emotional attachment to his past as part of the royal family," she continued, adding: "On the other hand, Meghan was born and raised in America and it would feel more like home to her and so it makes sense that she has an easier time moving on from their time as working members of the royal family and is focused on her opportunities in the U.S."
