County Park pool in Fayette County to not open in 2024

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — Due to repair issues, the County Park pool in Fayette County will not open in 2024.

According to a post on the Fayette County Parks and Recreation Facebook page, the County Park pool will not open in summer 2024 due to difficulties surrounding pool repairs.

Fayette County Parks and Recreation stated that there were difficulties finding a contractor who believed repairs would be possible for the pool, and that they are looking into replacement options. They stated that initial costs were large, and that Fayette County Parks and Recreation are looking into other ways to fund the project, such as with grants.

According to Fayette County Parks and Recreation, improvements are being made to other parts of the park for the public to enjoy.
