A tiny Golden Retriever puppy gets tucked into bed for his nap just like a human would, and it's the cutest video on the internet.
On June 12, 2024, TikTok user The Golden Murphy (@thegolden.murphy) shared a video of the cutest Golden Retriever puppy who has a big case of the sleepies. Take a look!
In a really sweet video posted to social media, we meet Murphy, a Golden Retriever who is still growing.

Puppies exert a whole lot of energy which means they play hard and sleep hard. That's definately the case for little Murphy who is taking a good nap but it's how his mom tucked him in that has the full internet in a cute craze.
In the video, Murphy's mom moves the sweet puppy around to get him cozy and on his back. He's using a pillow and has a beloved toy next to him. She tucks him in with a blanket and then gives the good boy a good boy head rub.
The best thing about the video isn't just that Murphy is so cute with his oversized ears and paws. Murphy never wakes up, not once, while his mom repositions him, scoots him over, tucks him in, or petes him.
The sleepy pup remained very sleepy, and he was tucked in like a human toddler would be.
"Tell me this isnt the cutest thing you've seen today," the video's caption read. And people in the comments didn't have any counter to that statement.
One viewer tried to convince themselves this video didn't give them any feelings, writing, "I don’t need another golden. I don’t need another golden. I don’t need another golden."
Someone else shared, "He still has the newborn scrunch."

How Much Sleep Does a Puppy Need Each Day?
Newborn humans sleep for a long time, and even busy toddlers require 1-2 naps in addition to their nightly sleep. And the same is true for growing puppies.
According to the American Kennel Club , puppies are "little bundles of energy," and on average they require 18 to 20 hours of sleep each day.
"Sleep is essential to healthy growth, contributing to the necessary development of the central nervous system, brain, immune system, and muscles," the club explains. "All of that sleep also helps them rest up during growth spurts."
The exact amount of sleep depends on your dog breed and your dog, too as some breeds tend to need more rest than others, and some dogs may have other circumstances that require extra sleep.
Plus, those 18 to 20 hours aren't taken in one go overnight. Like human toddlers, it's broken up into several sleeps throughout the day.
