BOIL ADVISORY: Tri-Water System issues a boil advisory for areas in Union Parish

UNION PARISH, La. (KTVE/KARD) — Due to a break in the water main, Tri-Water System, Inc. has issued a boil advisory for the following areas in Union Parish in the list below:

• Highway 549 starting at DeLoutre Creek down Highway 549 toward Farmerville including Patterson Lake Road.
• Tom Dean Road
• Meadowbrook
• Denton Road
• Moon Dairy Drive
• Barr Road
• Mickey Road
• Alexander Road
• Rodeo Road
• Blair Road
• Davis Road
• Highway 15
• Zion Hill Church Road
• Dozier Road
• Cypress Creek Road
• Webster Bluff Road
• Masonic Road
• Camp Corney Road
• Sandfield Road
• Scenic Drive
• Abbey Road

It is recommended that all customers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The minute starts after the water have been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle or pouring it from one container to another.)

When the boil advisory has been rescinded, an update will be provided.
