Truly, we should all thank God for all the men and women who have dedicated their lives to the gospel — for the race is not given to the swift or the strong, it is he who endures to the end who shall be saved.
A lot of people have quit because of pressures and persecution. But for the last few years, I and others like me have been warning of these perilous times we’re living in today.
Some of us are only holding on by a string and a prayer. I remember reading what Jesus told the 12 disciples that he had chosen after the 72 had quit.
The 72 quit because of trials and persecution. Jesus asked the 12, “Will you quit also?” And Peter spoke up and said, “Where shall we go? For in you are the keys to eternal life.” That is why when I go through so much pain, persecution and trials, I just look up toward heaven and say, “Lord, I know you love me!”
To the people of God, and to those of you who don’t know him, the Lord loves us so much. Remember the feelings that we had when our children were little and so beautiful? We loved them all to pieces. Well, the Lord loves us also, only a billion times more. That is why he wants us to live forever in the most beautiful place in creation. I’m talking about heaven.
Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the hearts of men, the things God has prepared for them who love him. That is why there will be no excuses when people reject him. I’m talking about the sinner man who doesn’t want any part of God. Also, the slowful saints that care more about themselves than God. And the anti-Christ saints, who preach false doctrine and even leave Jesus Christ out of the gospel.
When you die, you will end up in hell, the most terrible place ever created. After being tormented there for a very long time, you will be judged like Lucifer and his army. Then you will be cast into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone.
The Bible declares, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire-and-brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:10, and 12 -15.
I am reminding everyone of this one thing. God is sending a great shaking to his church in this country. It is a last cry from him to get his church to repent. Those of us who are serving the Lord with all of our hearts will face times that it feels like the Lord has left us. Just hold on, and hold out. The Lord is with us.
