Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon said former President Donald Trump will be sentenced to "multiple years in prison" in his Manhattan hush money trial.

In a speech at Turning Point USA's Detroit conference, Bannon bashed the legal cases against the former president and predicted, with certainty, that Trump will be sentenced to years in prison on July 11.

"They've turned the legal system. They've turned the legal system, whether it's bankruptcy, whether it is taking away somebody's law license, whether it's de-banking, and they have the greatest president this nation's head since Abraham Lincoln, and they're, they're about to put him, by the way, you know ... on the 11th of July, they're going to sentence him for multiple years in prison. You understand that, right?" Bannon said.

"You understand what they're doing in New York . And then they're going to limit, they're going to limit how he can travel," he continued. "Now it's going to be court-supervised. Why is that? To steal the election. To steal the election. Under no circumstances can they have the ... Trump administration take back over. They can't have MAGA rule the country. They don't care about this election. They don't care how many votes we get. They're going to fight us every step of the way."

He went on to rouse the audience to fight for Trump and pledged that the Trump administration would completely get rid of the FBI, which he referred to as an "American Gestapo."

Bannon said that the FBI headquarters should be torn down and the earth salted over it, as the Romans did to Carthage.

Others are split on whether or not Trump will be sentenced to time in prison. ABC News asked 14 lawyers and legal professors about the likelihood — five said it was likely, two were uncertain, and seven said it was unlikely due to logistical problems, a lack of precedent for imprisoning first-time offenders, and such a sentence's political ramifications.

Most agreed that he would not see prison time before the November election.
