A man and woman have been arrested after a bag of cocaine was found hidden inside a cheeseburger.

the North Carolina duo were caught by cops during a traffic stop and the illegal drugs were found inside the fast-food favorite. Pleading their innocence, they claimed they had found the bag inside the food item.

De Anthonie Trey Vion Taylor, 23, is facing multiple drug charges, including possession with intent to manufacture sale and deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post. The sheriff's office added: "BK, have it your way… not today."

Officers explained how they found drugs after completing a traffic stop on Tuesday, the social media post went on to explain. In addition to finding cocaine in the burger, there was also fentanyl, marijuana, two guns and clonazepam, USA Today reports .

A female passenger in the car, identified as 24-year-old Brianna Marie Smith, was also arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance, possession of cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff's office.

Taylor has since bonded out of Lee County Jail, while Smith remains incarcerated with a $50,000 bond, inmate records show. It is unclear if either Smith or Taylor have attorneys.

Elsewhere, a 23-year-old man was reportedly arrested on Saturday in connection to the murder of Rachel Morin, a mother of five who was found dead around 10 months ago near a popular hiking trail in Maryland .

Victor Martinez Hernandez was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday night, court records obtained by The Baltimore Banner revealed. A native of El Salvador, Hernandez was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape.

The arrest was confirmed during a press conference held Saturday afternoon by Hartford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler. It's not clear why Hernandez was in Tulsa at the time of his arrest.

"Rachel's murderer is no longer a free man," Gahler said during the press conference. "Hopefully, he'll never have the opportunity to walk free again."

Maryland is not a state that carries the death penalty, so the maximum sentence Hernandez faces is life without the possibility of parole. Nevertheless, Morin's family, including her mother Patricia, were "very emotional" on Saturday when the arrest was announced, the publication reported.

"It gave me such hope that they really did care about my daughter, my family, and they really were going to find the person who murdered my daughter," she said of a meeting the family had with investigators back in December that made them feel certain exactly such an arrest would be made in connection with their loved one's death.
