A teenage private eye sounds a bit ridiculous, doesn't it? Well, the cult classic TV show Veronica Mars features just that. The show's first three seasons ran from 2004-2007, with a movie coming out in 2014 and season four of the show releasing in 2019.

The series (and movie) were filled with wit, drama and action. Plus, it had one of the most epic love stories of all time, which led us to detect what the Veronica Mars cast has been up to since season four ended.

Kristen Bell

CHARACTER PLAYED: Veronica Mars

BORN: July 18, 1980, in Huntington Woods, Michigan, USA.

BEST KNOWN FOR: Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) , When In Rome (2010) , Frozen (2013), The Good Place (2016-2020) and Frozen 2 (2019).

PERSONAL: Bell has been married to Dax Shepard since 2013. They have two children together.

THOUGHTS ON VERONICA MARS: "This show has much more adult characters in a much more adult world — which I think is great, because Veronica's audience has grown up. We're not opposed to new teenagers watching the show, but the ones who did initially are all grown up now ."

FUN FACT: Bell and Enrico Colantoni were the only two people to appear in every single episode.

Jason Dohring: Veronica Mars cast

BORN: March 30, 1982, in Ohio.

PERSONAL: Dohring has been married to Lauren Kutner since 2004. They have four children together.

THOUGHTS ON VERONICA MARS: When asked about his character's shocking ending — being the victim of a bomb explosion in Veronica's car planted by a murderer — Dohring said, " I was crushed for like three days. In an ideal world, I'd like to think [that] after building this relationship, maybe they're right for each other, so there's not maybe a scenario where he can go off and be somewhere else where they don't kind of keep coming together off and on."

FUN FACT: Dohring initially auditioned for the role of Duncan Kane .

Percy Daggs III

CHARACTER PLAYED: Wallace Fennel

BORN: July 20, 1982, in Long Beach, California.

BEST KNOWN FOR: Daggs was also in Murder101 (2014), The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy (2015-2017) and Delicate State (2021).

FUN FACT: Much like his character, Daggs is also very good at basketball.

Francis Capra: Veronica Mars cast

CHARACTER PLAYED: Eli "Weevil" Navarro

BORN: April 27, 1983, in The Bronx, New York.

BEST KNOWN FOR: Capra has been in A Bronx Tale (1993) , Kazamm (1996), SLC Punk! (1998), Crank (2006), Black Irish (2007) and Axel (2022).

THOUGHTS ON VERONICA MARS: "Veronica Mars , the gift that never ceases to give ! I became a man on the set of this show, and it seems that I am now becoming an old man! I never realized how special and powerful this show would be until after we were canceled, but sometimes it seems as if we never really stopped making Veronica Mars ! I don't think we ever will! It lives on in the hearts and minds of the fans, no matter what form it takes."

FUN FACT: Weevil's age is never confirmed in the show. He is believed to be around 17 since he's a high school student, but it's never confirmed.

Teddy Dunn

CHARACTER PLAYED: Duncan Kane

BORN: June 19, 1980.

BEST KNOWN FOR: Dunn quit acting in 2009 to become a lawyer, but before that he was in an episode of Grey's Anatomy (2006), Kill Theory (2009), and A Good Funeral (2009).

PERSONAL: He has been married to Kendall Morrison since 2017.

THOUGHTS ON VERONICA MARS: Dunn left the show in season two, saying "I knew going in that I had a finite amount of episodes, so it was like any other job. It was week-to-week, and then I went on my merry way ."

FUN FACT: Dunn initially auditioned for the role of Logan.

Ryan Hansen: Veronica Mars cast

PERSONAL: Hansen is married to Amy Hansen. They have two children together.

THOUGHTS ON VERONICA MARS: In discussing Logan's death at the end of season 4, Hansen said, "I do know that fans had a very hard time with it. But I feel like that’s the way the show was kind of heading and it needed to kind of grow up and do that kind of stuff."

FUN FACT: Hansen and Bell are very close friends to this day.

Enrico Colantoni

PERSONAL: Colantoni was married to Nancy Snyder from 1997-2004, and they had two children together. Now, he is married to Rosanna Francioni and they have four children together.

THOUGHTS ON VERONICA MARS: When asked about the special bond Veronica (Bell) shared with her father, Keith, on the show Colantoni said " I think they’ll always need each other , and it’ll become more and more beautiful the older they get, I believe. Rewatching the series, I’d forgotten how present Keith was to Veronica, even when she was in school, and how very present that character was to her. That was probably the biggest realization because so much was going on in her life outside of the office or home, but her dad was always present in her mind."

FUN FACT: Much like his character in season four, Colantoni also has a bad hip.
