    Beach in popular tourist county on Ireland's west coast is 'spectacular'

    Ireland's rugged and scenic coastline means that there are some stunning Irish beaches for tourists to experience. Dog's Bay Beach in Co Galway is a standout for many visitors to the area.

    Galway is a county that many tourists will visit during their trip to Ireland. Located along the Wild Atlantic Way , Co Galway is home to breathtaking scenery.

    Not only are there places like Connemara , arguably one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, but there is the vibrant city of Galway with its buzzing Irish pubs .

    However, Galway is also full of spots that are often overlooked by tourists. One of those destinations is Dog's Bay Beach.

    Dog's Bay Beach is located in the Connemara area of Galway. it is a horseshow-shaped white sand beach with sweeping views and plenty of space to sit and relax.

    It is a popular spot for swimmers and windsurfers due to its calm waters. For those who would rather stay on foot, it is also a great place for a scenic walk and some fresh Irish coastal air.

    Dog's Bay Beach is a "spectacular" place, according to those who have visited it before. One Tripadvisor reviewer said: "With dog in tow, we spent a few glorious hours on this spectacular beach... which is rated one of Ireland's best.

    "You'll find a vast expanse of white sand and dreamy turquoise waters and little else... just perfect. Without a doubt, this was a highlight of our trip to the west coast of Ireland."

    Another wrote: "Despite it being an incredibly cold and blustery autumn day, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Walking on the sand is amazing as it is so white, so clean and also flat so less likely to trip. I can only imagine how beautiful this is on a sunny, warm day."

    A third said: "Beautiful beach with white sand. It does not seem to be as busy as Gurteen beach on the other side. We practically had the whole beach to ourselves. Blue water and immaculate beach."
