Daniel Radcliffe and longtime girlfriend Erin Darke make rare red carpet appearance at Tonys as actor gets emotional

Daniel Radcliffe and his longtime girlfriend Erin Darke were seen putting on a cozy display at the Tony Awards on Sunday.

The former Harry Potter star, who performed at the show with his Merrily We Roll Along cast, received a Supporting Actor award for his Broadway turn.

Daniel, 34, looked dapper as he donned a purple suit with satin lapels and a shirt and bow-tie in a matching palette. As he posed for the cameras, Daniel put one of his hands in the pocket of his trousers and the other he placed around Erin's waist.

Erin meanwhile looked ultra glamorous as she donned a metallic, bedazzled dress, which featured short capped sleeves and a sheer neckline.

Erin, 39, styled her auburn-colored locks into a casual up-do, which saw loose tendrils fall around her face. She added a muted coral hue to her plump pout and feline flicks to her striking peepers with a dark kohl eyeliner.

Daniel gave a huge shoutout to Erin during his acceptance speech for his award. The actor, visibly choked back tears on stage, as he admitted he was "trying not to cry".

Daniel, who shared he "will never have it this good again" when it comes to a role addressed Erin directly in the crowd and said: "My love, Erin, you and our son are the best thing that has ever happened to me, I love you both so much, thank you so much!"

Also visibly emotional, Erin proudly smiled on from the audience. Erin and Daniel, who have been together since 2012, welcomed their first child together in April last year. Daniel and fellow actor Erin first met on set of 2013's American biographical drama, Kill Your Darlings.

In the movie the pair played love interests, but in real life they have chosen to keep their relationship largely out of the spotlight.

They were however seen on the picket line in support of the SAG-AFTRA strikes last year, with Daniel seen sweetly carrying their young son in a papoose around his neck.

Daniel previously opened up about how becoming a father had affected him. Speaking to E!, he said: "It's awesome. I think I've been, really… I think a lot of people said, 'Just get through the first six months after then after that it gets better.' But I've kind of really enjoyed the first six months."

He added: "I don't know what I imagined, honestly, but it's great. He's incredible and I'm just in awe of my partner."
