    Taste of Belgium’s “Pop Tarts” Are Poppin’

    G et a taste of your youth with Taste of Belgium’s gourmet Pop Tarts. After being discontinued during the pandemic due to supply issues, this take on a childhood classic made its way back onto the bistro’s menu this spring to the delight of sweet-treat connoisseurs across the tri-state. Each pastry features a flaky, buttery dough filled with either fruit or chocolate and topped with icing. Try the berry or lemon for bursts of fruity flavor; if you’re feeling decadent, go with the s’mores for its chocolate center and gooey marshmallow topping.

    “We may be grown-ups, but that doesn’t mean we don’t still have a love for the things that brought us joy as a child,” says Jean-François Flechet, Taste of Belgium’s founder. “These gourmet pop tarts were created for the kid in all of us, a way to add a little more fun to every day. So many people told us how much they missed them, we knew we had to bring them back.”

    The snack is available daily during breakfast and brunch hours at all eight locations, but once they’re gone, they’re gone so pop in early.
