    How will Pasco pay for rising service needs from deputies to roads? Higher tax bills?

    Just as Pasco County residents notice every grocery run brings a higher cost at the register, Pasco’s county leaders say they are in the same boat.

    That means higher costs to fight crime, more expenses to maintain and expand roads and parks, and to tackle complex social issues like homelessness and hunger, and figuring out how to pay for the rising bill.

    Last week the commissioners talked informally about their upcoming budget priorities, but every sign pointed to higher tax rates for property owners again later this year.
