People have a lot of opinions when it comes to planning a Disney vacation, especially what the "right" age to visit might be. While some people believe that children should be over a certain age, or that it's "weird" for adults to go to Disney without kids, as a lifelong fan of the theme parks, I'm here to tell of you that those kinds of opinions are totally wrong. I've been as a child myself, as an adult without children, and as a mom with her kid at every age so far, and I can say that it's just as much fun (and just as magical) at all those different ages and stages of life.

But you don't have to take my word for it — this video that's going viral on TikTok basically says it all. (Warning: You might get a little emotional watching this!)

Over the weekend, @sophmol2 shared a video from her 84 year old grandfather's trip to Disney World , and boy is he living his best life in this clip!

It's a short video, but it really does speak volumes. He's at Hollywood Studios , riding the Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster in Toy Story Land , and he's having the time of his life. Just as he should — it's a really fun coaster!

That look on his face is everything. It doesn't matter if you're 4 or 84, there's something at Disney for everyone.

The video is getting so much attention that even the official Disney parks TikTok account commented on it, writing, "Everyone is a kid in Andy’s backyard."

Taking Older Relatives to Disney World

It can be so much fun to take grandparents and older relatives to Disney, as we can see in this video — especially if they've never been before and it would make them happy to experience the magic.

However, it can be very hot at the Florida parks, so make sure that everyone is staying hydrated and taking regular breaks in the air conditioning. Shopping and watching shows is a great way to achieve this (and so is making a reservation for a nice long lunch) and there's definitely no shame in taking a midday break at the hotel and coming back when the sun goes down!

You also may want to look into getting a wheelchair or ECV for your loved one, even if they don't use one at home. There are some Disney days that I've walked 10 miles or more. It's a lot even on the youngest, healthiest person!

And above all else, make sure you're taking plenty of pictures and videos. These are memories you'll want to keep forever.
