    Boeing laying off employees at Pennsylvania facility

    DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The Boeing Company will soon be laying off dozens of Pennsylvania employees, according to a WARN Notice submitted to the Department of Labor & Industry.

    According to the WARN Notice , The Boeing Company’s location on Stewart Avenue and Industrial Highway Ridley Park in Delaware County will be laying off 69 employees.

    The WARN Notice says that these layoffs will become effective on Friday, August 16.

    abc27 News reached out to The Boeing Company for more information but did not hear back at the time of this publication.

    According to Boeing’s website, they develop, manufacture, and service commercial airplanes, defense products, and space systems for customers in more than 150 countries. To date, the company employs more than 170,000 people across the U.S. and in more than 65 countries.
