'I was my best friend's maid of honor - then she told me she had an affair with my ex'

A maid of honor said a friendship ended when dramatic events unfolded at her best friend's wedding .

The woman's relationship with ex-boyfriend John, whom she had dated for four years and planned to marry, ended abruptly. During this difficult time, her best friend Stacy and Stacy's fiance Tom were there for her, even offering her a place to stay.

Stacy also asked her to be the maid of honor at her wedding .

Stacy confessed in order to start her marriage with a clean slate. Tom decided to forgive her but struggled with whether or not to share this information with Stacy's friend.

However, she decided to leave the wedding , causing quite a stir since she was essentially running the event. When people noticed her absence, the news of the affair eventually came out.
