Stranger Things Season 5 will close out the legendary Netflix series, and as a result will feature some wild content, according to the actor who plays Vecna.

Speaking during a recent appearance on iHeart’s I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario (via The Hollywood Reporter), Jamie Campbell Bower — who played Henry Creel/Vecna in Season 4 of the series — promised that fans would absolutely be in for a show when Season 5 releases.

What did Jamie Campbell Bower say about Stranger Things Season 5?

“If you thought last season was nuts, this season is just out of control, wild, like it’s bonkers. It really, really is,” Bower said. “It’s bigger. It’s just completely insane. It’s completely insane.”

Bower also discussed his role as Vecna and Henry in the series, and revealed that The First Shadow, a play based on Stranger Things that has been running in London, actually taught him some more about the character.

“It’s just continually building,” said Bower of the next season of Stranger Things. “It’s been really interesting as well to have the play on in London, which I went to go and see, which goes back to Henry before we met him in season four. And to have a lot of the questions or a lot of the thoughts that I had about that character kind of answered by watching the play and also discover more, was really interesting for me.”

Stranger Things Season 4 set a record for Netflix, having been viewed for more than 287 million hours during the week of May 23-30. That’s not only good enough for the top spot of the week for Netflix, but it’s also more than enough to break the record for the streaming platform’s biggest-ever premiere weekend for an English-language series. That was previously held by the second season of Bridgerton (193 million hours).
