    A strong thunderstorm was detected by Doppler radar around 2:58 PM EDT (1:58 PM CDT) near Hamlet, approximately 10 miles north of Knox, Indiana. The storm is moving northeast at a speed of 30 mph. It carries potential hazards including wind gusts ranging from 50 to 55 mph and hail up to half an inch in diameter. The radar has indicated these conditions, which could lead to downed tree limbs and scattered debris from unsecured items. Minor damage to plants from hail is also a possibility. Areas that might be affected include Walkerton, North Liberty, Kingsford Heights, Hamlet, Koontz Lake, La Paz, Teegarden, South Center, Salem Heights, Fish Lake, Brems, Tracy, Crumstown, and Stillwell.
