They say dog is man's best friend, but there's nothing like the relationship between a toddler and their pup. Little kids who grow up with dogs truly know what it means to be loved unconditionally — and how to love in return.

In an adorable video posted on June 14, a toddler girl and her German Shepherd are just chilling on the couch together, watching Toy Story ...and the way they're snuggling is just about the cutest thing that ever happened.

"When you catch this sweet moment at the end of Toy Story ," wrote Jenna Wells . They're both so happy! And what's more, both the toddler and the dog know just how to behave with each other, as many commenters pointed out.

"I love the baby being gentle and the gentle giant. Such good parenting on both ends," wrote moody.turtle.

"Gentle child with a dog who clearly put himself there with her. And an adult supervising the sweet interaction. 100000/10," wrote Elizabeth Christine.

"Props on teaching her how to be so gentle ," wrote jasmine.dayton.

It's true that teaching babies and toddlers to be gentle with dogs is super important (as is teaching dogs to do the same with the small humans in their family). This little girl's parents definitely succeeded in that department!

How Growing Up With a Dog Is Good for Babies

In addition to always having a pal to watch movies with on the couch, there are lots of ways that having a dog in the house can benefit babies, according to The Bump. Experts even say that little ones who grow up with dogs can be healthier physically.

"A study conducted by researchers in Finland has found that babies in homes with dogs catch fewer colds , get fewer ear infections and need fewer antibiotics in their first year of life than babies raised in pet-free homes...The results suggest that having a dog in the home has a protective effect against respiratory tract infections during the first year of life and may lead to better resistance to infection during childhood in the long run." Exposure to dogs can also help to decrease a child's chances of developing allergies and asthma.

Dogs also contribute to a child's emotional and mental health . Research has shown that "the presence of a dog (or any family pet) during childhood can increase emotional expression and control in children," and "attachment to pets can promote healthy social development, social competence, increased social interaction, improved social communication and social play in children."

The toddler in this video definitely seems healthy and happy...and so does the dog!
