    Enjoy yoga with horses

    Namaste Neighs, Yoga with Horses will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Greenwell State Park, 25450 Rosedale Manor Lane in Hollywood. Yoga followed by meet and greet with horses.     Radio field day set

    St. Mary’s County Amateur Radio Association will hold a field day 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Historic Sotterley, 44300 Sotterley Lane in Hollywood. Call Walter at 240-298-1826.

    Music festival planned Saturday

    The third annual Calvert Bluegrass and Acoustic Music Festival will be held on Saturday, June 22, from noon to 6 p.m. at Waters Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 5400 Mackall Road in St. Leonard. Bands include 15 Strings, The Port Tobacco Pickers, Justus2, The Unclouded Day, Bushmill Band, and Cuzn’s Harmony. There will also be food trucks. Free-will donations will be accepted to support Calvert Hospice.

    Oktobertfest planned

    Susannah’s Watch Bed & Breakfast will host Lavender Days 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, at 27075 S. Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville. Live music, lavender fields and tours, vendors, food trucks, crafts and more. Kid’s day will be June 23 with petting zoo and face painting.     Sip & Shop planned

    Theatre to stage ‘Legally Blonde’

    ‘Wild things’ exhibit continues

    Artworks@7th will show its “Where the Wild Things Are” exhibit through June 30. The exhibit’s guest artist is Julie Heath, who creates mixed media collages.     ‘Shorelines’ exhibit eroding

    North End Gallery’s Shorelines exhibit continues through June 30. The exhibit, which comprises the works of several artists, focuses on the various coastal areas in the region.     Patuxent art exhibit continues

    Patuxent High School will host an art exhibit showcasing teen artists in Southern Maryland at the Calvert Library’s Southern branch. The exhibit runs through June.

    Car show planned

    Drum camp registration open

    Take the bus to a play

    Accokeek First Church of God is sponsoring a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa. to see the play “Daniel” Friday, July 26. The bus will depart at 8 a.m. from the church at 15821 Livingston Road in Accokeek and return about 8 p.m. The cost is $160 per person, $130 for ages 4 to 12, free for ages 3 and younger and includes theater ticket, bus transportation and lunch at Hershey Family restaurant.
