‘Stop It!’ CNN Guest Obliterates Excuse for Trump Forgetting Doctor’s Name

Former Obama administration official Ashley Allison roasted Donald Trump for misnaming his White House doctor while demanding President Joe Biden take a cognitive test.

While doing so, Trump bragged about his own cognitive abilities.

On Monday’s edition of The Situation Room on CNN, Wolf Blitzer played a clip of Trump speaking at a rally over the weekend.

“I think he should take a cognitive test like I did,” Trump said . “I took a cognitive test and I aced it. Doc Ronny. Doc Ronny Johnson. Does everyone know Ronny Johnson, congressman from Texas? He was the White House doctor, and he said I was the healthiest president, he feels, in history, so I liked him very much.”

Blitzer noted that “Ronny Johnson” is actually Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX).

Conservative political strategist Shermichael Singleton downplayed Trump’s gaffe.

“We all forget things sometimes,” Singleton said. “Yes, President Biden is older. Is he slowing down? Yes. I think many people see that with their own eyes. I’m not a medical professional. I’m not going to attempt to diagnose–”

“But he can’t even remember the name of his doctor?” Blitzer interjected.

“That’s my point,” Singleton replied. “People forget, Wolf.”

As he continued, Allison was champing at the bit to respond.

“Ashley’s looking at me,” he noted.

“I’m just saying,” she began. “Trump throws rocks and he lives in a glass house. Like, he couldn’t get the man’s name right, and he’s talking about his opponent’s cognitive ability. Stop it!”

Allison went on to say she approves of CNN’s decision in next week’s debate to turn off the microphone of the candidate who is not recognized to speak.

“I think this is like, poising Donald Trump to actually throw a tantrum on stage because very rarely is he surrounded by people who check him,” she added. “And this is a way for our network to hold him accountable and keep the conversation honest.”
