    Another scorcher in Northeast Pa.

    The heatwave continues today in Northeast Pa. Expect temps near the mid 90's. The high temperature record on this day is 93 so we might break that record. Here's the Heat Advisory in effect from the National Weather Service at Binghamton:

    .HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM EDT THURSDAY...

    * WHAT...Heat index values of 100 to 104 expected.

    * WHERE...Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.

    * WHEN...From noon today to 8 PM EDT Thursday.

    * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

    Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
