Gleyber Torres struck out with the bases loaded on Sunday night in a feeble at-bat that helped spoil a golden opportunity for the Yankees in Boston.

It continued what has been a season-long struggle for Torres, who can’t find his footing in a contract year after being one of the best bats in the Yankee lineup last season.

C-Mac has tried to defend Torres, but it is getting more and more difficult with each passing game, and while he doesn’t see the second baseman being traded, he believes that enough is enough.

“I have to admit too, I’m disgusted with Gleyber Torres after that at-bat,” C-Mac said. “That at-bat has really soured me on Gleyber. I’ve been sour on him, I just don’t know if there’s another option for him.

“That at-bat with the bases loaded and nobody out was horrific. It’s inexcusable…unfortunately for him, he’s having a miserable walk year, and it’s getting to the point where the Yankees can’t even give him a qualifying offer, in fear he’ll take it. He can’t be here next year.”

Torres has driven fans mad with his defensive miscues and baserunning blunders, all while failing to live up to his hyped pair of All-Star seasons to begin his MLB career. He hasn’t known a big-league team other than the Yankees, but C-Mac says that needs to change after 2024.

“I don’t think there’s a way out of it this year…but the Yankees last game this year will be Gleyber Torres’ last game in a Yankee uniform,” C-Mac said. “I don’t think it’s fair to say that he’s a losing player, but he ain’t a winning player.”
