I-20 off ramp to close amid paving operations

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Texas Department of Transportation will be closing an Interstate 20 off ramp as crews continue a project that aims to improve the riding surface and increase the safety of FM 3503 from just north of I-20 to two miles south.

On Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, June 20, crews will start milling and paving operations on the south frontage road from exit 118 to FM 3503. The off ramp at exit 118 will be closed during daylight hours, with message boards in place in advance to provide motorists with information about the closure.

Traffic will be taken through the construction area with a pilot car during this portion of the project. Exit 120 will remain open.
