    UPDATE: CCSO finds suspect involved in burglary

    (SOUTHERN COLORADO) — The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) found the suspect involved in a burglary on Friday, June 14 thanks to social media.

    CCSO published an update on Facebook on Tuesday, June 18 that the suspect had been identified due to a previous post made the same day looking for the burglar.

    According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was captured after a brief vehicle pursuit in a neighboring county.CCSO said a Custer deputy was en route to take him into custody and book him on local charges.

    The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is asking the community for assistance in identifying a burglary suspect.

    The residential burglary happened in Westcliffe, in Southeast Custer County on Friday, June 14. The burglary happened in the San Isabel area.

    CCSO is looking for the suspect and their vehicle. The vehicle appears to be a Buick Lacrosse, which the Sheriff’s Office says may be a 2007 model.
